UPDATE: Added English version
Transformers: Age of Extinction's first toy commercial has been posted on YouTube. The commercial features the cartoony, simplified and colorful versions of Grimlock and Optimus and advertises the new Flip'n Change Grimlock and One Step Optimus Prime. It is a Polish commercial so it is in a different language for us English speakers.

Toy Fair Roundup, Video Game and More

I'm finally back after a short absence and I have a lot of news for you guys. As far as Toy Fair stuff, I'm just going to post the interesting photos at the bottom and just let you guys look everything over at your own will rather than go in depth with everything. In other news, the Age of Extinction video game has been set to release on June 24th, although this will be a bit different than past movie games. It is somehow going to be a crossover between AOE and the Cybertron game universe. It will be available on all major platforms (including PC) and Escalation will have 40 playable characters. The game will be developed by Edge of Reality and not High Moon Studios.

Another interesting thing to note is a theater cup promotion for Age of Extinction. Select theaters will have AOE limited edition soda cups with keychains on the top.

Toy Fair 2014: Designs, Toys and More!

Possible Spoilers!
Tons of news coming out of the 2014 UK Toy Fair! Our first small piece of news comes from an inside source that talked to Seibertron.com regarding the name of the Freightliner. It appears that the identity is that of the Autobot Ultra Magnus. Next, we have a leaked image of the design for Lockdown. Not sure if this is a poster or just a piece of promotional artwork, but the design is awesome nonetheless. Some type of smashable head toys have revealed the face design for Crosshairs (the green Corvette) and it appears that he is wearing some type of goggles. Next we have the design for Drift thanks to a Connect 4 board game. Drift wields two swords and matches the leaked costume design from not long ago. After that is our first look at the classic Camaro Bumblebee. The design is quite similar to the previously trilogy other than the fairly intact front end of the Camaro on his chest. Finally, Amazon has put up a pre-order listing for First Edition Optimus Prime at $59.99 US. The figure has chrome point and a pretty neat cover over the box. The toy will be shipped on February 4th if ordered in time. Also don't forget that next Sunday during the Super Bowl, we will be able to witness a TV spot for Transformers Age of Extinction! Can't wait!

More news out of the UK Toy Fair. This time we have a confirmation that the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is indeed named Crosshairs (thanks to Soundwavedotm of TFW2005). Also of note, the main character toys will be released first so that another DOTM line situation will not happen.

And the Lamborghini is.....

Spoilers Below
The name and faction of the gray Lamborghini has been revealed due to a track set revealed at the UK Toy Fair. The vehicle will be the Decepticon Lockdown, probably most widely known for his appearance in Transformers Animated as a rogue bounty hunter.

Trailer News, Leaked Toys, Plot and More!

I'm back! After a tiring last couple of weeks I'm back with a ton of big news. First of all, we have some new still which include Nicola Peltz and an unknown Transformer being acted out by Michael Bay, Wahlberg and Reynor by Bumblebee, the Autobots approaching a destroyed car and more. You can see them at the bottom of this post.

Secondly, we have some more information about the plot and story of the film. As a bit of minor news, the characters names have been confirmed as Cade (Wahlberg) and Tessa Teager (Peltz) and Shane Dyson (Reynor). Empire magazine gave a brief plot rundown you can see below. Skip it if you don't want any spoilers about the storyline.

Earth is scarred by the events of the past three movies, but is moving on after all the giant robots disappeared. Cade Yeager, an inventor, discovers a buried Transformer which sets the stage for the return of the rest of the Transformers.

Next we have some leaked toy images. The first is of Optimus Prime that differs slightly from the one that was previously seen. The others include Bumblebee, Hound (now confirmed as the bearded guy we saw in Detroit) and Swoop/Strafe who seems to have two heads in Dinobot mode. (Photos at bottom)

Steve Aoki, who collaborated with Linkin Park on their last album is rumored to be working on the Transformers 4 soundtrack after sending out an interesting tweet:

Michael Bay recently did an interview with IGN in which he said that Age of Extinction will be much more cinematic and have no goofiness, unlike the previous trilogy:

In the 4th installment of the live action Transformers series, Bay states this film will be "much more cinematic" and "won't [have] any goofiness." This is followed up with describing star actor Mark Wahlberg's character as a "wacky inventor."

Bay also went on to say that Transformers: The Ride and the excitement around it was what made him return for a fourth go at Transformers and in another interview, he voiced that he has not ruled out returning for Transformers 5.

The first Transformers footage release date has been confirmed, although that is a bit of bad news. Our first look will be a 30 second spot during the 2014 Super Bowl. A teaser trailer will come shortly after, according to Michael Bay on his website.

Nikko RC has signed a deal with Hasbro that allows them to make RC cars based off of the Age of Extinction Transformers characters.

TF4 Screening, Toys and More

Hasbro's Annual Investor Day concluded a few hours ago with a bunch of Transformers 4 news attached to it. The biggest thing that came out of it was a special 10 minute screening of part of the movie. The visuals were not done yet, but it gave a glimpse of what is to come. You can see the footage below... I'm just kidding. Unfortunately (and expectedly) no footage of the 10 minute screening could leave the room nor could anyone that was present write or speak about what was seen. Apparently though, everyone in attendance did enjoy the sneak peek and applauded loudly after it was over.

Moving on, the Transformers Kre-O toyline will be given the Transformers: Age of Extinction treatment. Also, the audience was teased of future Transformers video games that will be released in 2014. One will most likely be the Age of Extinction game while the other could be War for Cybertron 3.

Later in the day, one of the speakers said a word about Transformers 4:
"In 2014 our great entertainment story continues" said Eric Nyman. "We deliver a full new Transformers story with the release of Transformers 4…. 65 Million Years In The Making. You saw some of the footage this morning. Our great Autobot Heroes team up with... (he didn’t tell who) and defeat new villains and save the earth."

Finally, as a small nod to the Age of Extinction toyline (as well as other future lines), it was briefly discussed that figures will target 4 aspects known as the 4 Point Plan.
-Boys Action
-Construction
-Pre-School
-Gaming & Digitally Integrated Products

TF4 Dinobot Figures, On-Set Photos and More

First off in this post is some more concrete evidence of the Dinobots appearing in TF4. A planning sheet from Toys 'R Us has been leaked which reads "Transformers 4 - June 2014 Dinobots theme + 2 more movies planned." So yes, we will be getting Dinobot figures. This also shows that it would seem like the Dinobots would have a large role in Transformers 4 and that two more movies are confirmed to come after TF4. To view the sheet, click here.

The next piece of news is the selection of four Chinese actors from the Transformers 4 reality show. The winners are Byron Li, Austin Lin, Candice Zhao and Teresa Daley. The extent of their roles is unknown, but the characters are described as a Kung Fu fighter, a sexy goddess, a computer geek, and a cute Lolita. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said, "I want everybody to have fun. We are always looking for different ways to learn about other cultures. This is a great way to see people's passion and excitement. It allows for everybody to have fun together."

Next on the rumor mill is a future ILM special on the Dinobots. According to an inside source the special would include the creation of the Dinobots from top to bottom, much like what was done for the Driller and Devastator. During the featurette, the crew will be wearing TF4 hats that look like the current logo but with claw marks through the number four. There is no known date for it's release.

Finally, we have some more photos and videos from the Transformers 4 set in Chicago. Notable photos are of the human villain (Harold Attinger) played by Kelsey Grammer as well Stanley Tucci (Joshua) and his assistants played by Victoria Summer, Melanie Specht and Abigail Klein. A notable video is the first one where it seems like Bumblebee is scanning a different alt mode.
