While browsing the web, I came across some very interesting Dark of the Moon concept art which includes Optimus Prime hang gliding and an odd looking Autobot jet. Take a look at two below and see the rest here.

Transformers Play Battleship

The "How it Should Have Ended" people have created their first Transformers video since "How ROTF Should Have Ended" called "Transformers Play Battleship" in honor of the release of the new Battleship movie. They take some funny jabs about how the creators of Battleship keep throwing out the fact that Hasbro made Transformers.

TF3 Cars Displayed in Detroit

Some of the cars from Dark of the Moon are being displayed at the General Motors Renaissance Center in Detroit. The cars being displayed are Bumblebee, Sideswipe, a Dread and Mudflap (who was cut from the movie after filming concluded). See more images after the break.

Megatron Damages Staples Center

Megatron paid a visit to Staples Center in LA and he left a giant hole in the it! The giant "hole" is a part of the marketing campaign for Transformers The Ride, which will be opening next month at Universal Studios Hollywood. It is actually a giant laminate that has been plastered to the side of the arena. If you're in LA right now and you'd like to see it, it'll only be up until tomorrow.

New DOTM Concept Art

Ryan Church has released some of his concept art for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Some of the scenes made it in the film, but an interesting one that didn't was Shockwave driving the Driller like it was a car. ryanchurch.com

Poll Results

The results are in from the two recent Transformers DOTM News polls.  The first one was: Would you be open to Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley both being in TF4?  70% (26 votes) of you said yes and 29% (11 votes) of you said no.  It was actually very close for the first couple of days before there was an abundance of "yes" votes.  The second poll was: When will you be buying DOTM?  62% (22 votes) of you said Semptember 30th.  25% (9 votes) of you said that you are going to buy the 3D or Ultimate Edition in December.  In third place was "soon after the release", which had 11% (4 votes) of the votes.  None of you said that you were never going to buy it.

Ironhide Tribute

This isn't really news, but I came across this video made by Albershide who is a member of TFW2005 and S4TE. I just had to share it with you guys, because it is extremely well done.
RIP Ironhide. You will be missed.

Lots of Important News

Ok, I have a bunch of news regarding the home release of DOTM and other things.  Let's get started!

First of all, here is a video review from Richard Roeper on TF3.  Please disregard everything he says about the movie and his childish behavior (ironically comments can no longer be left on the video) and listen closely when he says that there will be three minutes of extra footage on the Blu-Ray and DVD.  We will know for sure tomorrow, but the anticipation is killing me!  Click 'read more' for more amazing news!

Transforming Megatron Blu-Ray Case

Amazon Germany has posted another varient of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Blu-Ray.  This one is a transforming Megatron case with a bonus disc, which is like the Optimus and Bumblebee cases from TF1 and TF2.  It is movie 1 Megatron's design, but it's still cool.  It is still unknown if this will be released in the US.

Shia Nominated for "Iconic Movie Actor"

J-14 Magazine has nominated Shia LeBeouf for the "Iconic Movie Actor" award for his performances in Transformers.  You can vote for the J-14 Teen Icon Awards here.  Shia has some tough competition and let's face it, Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner are going to win since the award is based on voting.  Show your support anyway though and maybe Shia can go for the win!

New Cover for Walmart Exclusive

Remember the Walmart exclusive DOTM Blu-Ray that was revealed over the weekend?  It seems as if the cover has changed to a much cooler looking image of Sentinel Prime.  Remember that if you buy this one, you will only get the Blu-Ray and not the DVD or Digital Copy.  It is priced $10 less than the combo pack.  My suggestion would be to get the combo pack unless you're a huge Sentinel Prime fan, but I'm sure that you could just get the combo pack, find the cover on Google, print it out, and slip that image in.

Poll Results

The results are in! For the question: "Which is your favorite?"  TF3 Highway Battle won with 54% of the votes (20 votes).  It was followed by Final Battle with 32% (12 votes), Forest Battle with 10% (4 votes) and TF1 Highway Battle with 2% (1 vote).  Roadbuster is your favorite Wrecker.  He reeled in 70% of the votes (17 votes).  He was followed by Leadfoot with 20% (5 votes) and Topspin with 8% (2 votes).  Check out the new polls!

DOTM The Novel Excerpt

This would have been an amazing scene in TF3.  It probably would have redeemed the Twins.  Too bad it was left out.

"There had never been a moment when the motor-mouthed Autobot named Mudflap had been at a loss for words. Under ordinary circumstances, Sam would expected him to say something like "Oh, no you did-unt! Oh NO you DID-UNT! Uh uh! You in it now!" He said nothing like that. Perhaps it was because of the psychic link that he shared with his twin so that he had actually felt Skids die. Perhaps it was because of the betrayal of a warrior they revealed above all others, like finding out the Archangel Michael was on Satan's payroll. Whatever the reason, Mudflap didn't react the way Sam would have expected. Instead he howled. It was a primal agony, torn from the individual bit of Spark that powered all the Autobots. It was the most horrible thing Sam Witwicky had ever heard, and he recognized it for what it was: the sound of a soul dying. And then it escalated into a war cry of undiluted fury."

Francesco Quinn, Voice of Dino, Passes Away at Age 49

We will be starting off today with some sad news.  Francesco Quinn, the voice of Dino in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, has passed away due to a heart attack.  He was only 49 years old.  Francesco was playing with his 10 year old son at their house in Malibu.  Doctors tried to revive him but failed to do so.

More Totals and Prime's Speech

Box Office Mojo reports that Transformers: Dark of the Moon has taken in about $558,084,874 as of today.  So far, TF3 is crushing "Horrible Bosses" and "Zookeeper" at the box office.  Of course, it will probably hit a bit of a speed bump in 5 days when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II comes out.  But, if DOTM can survive that and reach about $800 million, it should be able to reach $1 billion with the help of China and Japan, where DOTM will be released at the end of the month.
