Transformers News 3D Blu-Ray Review

Hello everyone! I'm going to give you a short, little review of the DOTM 3D Blu-Ray. I'll start off with the 3D experience. The 3D was absolutely great. It felt like I was back in the movie theater again, especially when the birdmen scene was happening. The bonus features were really interesting. There was a lot of behind the scenes stuff, along with concept art, posters, promotional stuff and the two trailers. I wasn't able to watch all of them yet, because there's just so much to watch. For those of you wondering about any deleted scenes, there were some, but don't get excited. There was probably about three short scenes involving Sam and Carly in their home. If I remember correctly, only one of these scenes has actual audio. The others have people talking over them. There was no mention of the Twins in the bonus features and there were a couple of minutes spent on the Megan Fox situation. So, overall, I was very impressed with the 3D and bonus features and this is something a Transformers fan would want to pick up. But again, there was really no extra footage, so if you only wanted to get this for that reason, don't get it and get the bare bones one instead.

3D Blu-Ray Release and Bonus Feature Previews

Tomorrow is the day! The DOTM Limited Edition 4-Disc 3D Blu-Ray and the 7-Disc Trilogy Set will be released. Both will have the bonus features included for Dark of the Moon. The Trilogy Set seems to be priced around $90 to $100 depending on where you buy it and the 3D Blu-Ray seems to be going from $20 to $40. Remember that if you bought the plain, bare bones edition of TF3, make sure to use your $10 off coupon if you buy the 3D version. I will be heading out tomorrow to buy my copy and I'll be posting photos of how the case looks on the Transformers News Facebook Page. I went to Target this afternoon to see if they were being set up early, but unfortunately they were not. I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow. Below, you will see links to some bonus feature sneak peeks thanks to the TF3 Twitter page.

"The Rock" Hints Bay and TF4

In a recent interview involving his new movie Journey 2, Dwayne Johnson had something interesting to say about TF4 and Bay while talking about another movie he will be starring in, Pain and Gain, which will be directed by Michael Bay. This could just be Johnson speculating, but you never know.

"It's an awesome project called Pain and Gain. It's been with Michael Bay for some time now. The goal will be to shoot it next year. Sure. Because, I know, he has Transformers to make. Obviously. That juggernaut. I can't wait for that."

Paramount Crowned "Most Successful Studio"

Paramount Pictures has been crowned the "World's Most Successful Studio" in 2011, beating out Waners Bros who presented the final Harry Potter movie this year. Paramount's movies made a total of $5.17 billion in 2011 while Waner Bros made $4.67 billion.

From TFW2005:
"This achievement reflects the combined efforts of our entire team across the globe and the careful process by which we select the projects and partners we believe in," said Paramount Pictures chairman and CEO Brad Grey. "We produce pictures that aspire to entertain audiences around the world, while at the same time we have sought to find innovative ways to reach moviegoers in this changing entertainment environment." The studio will release Brad Pitt zombie flick World War Z, Sacha Baron Cohen's latest The Dictator, toy franchise sequel G. I. Joe: Retaliation and a fourth Paranormal Activity film in 2012.Meanwhile in Hong Kong, Transformers: Dark of the Moon was crowned box office king of 2011 in Hong Kong, but more surprising was the record-breaking success of You Are the Apple of My Eye, the little Taiwan romcom that could, which took over the title of the highest grossing Chinese-language film ever in the territory.

The third installment of the Michael Bay toy-inspired franchise accumulated HK$84.7 million ($10.9 million) in a three-month run during the summer of 2011, almost doubling the HK$48 million gross of its 2009 predecessor, Revenge of the Fallen, according to the Hong Kong Motion Pictures Industry Association. The last chapter of the Harry Potter saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, took HK$76.8 million for second place.
