More DOTM The Game Info (Updated)

Just like last time: Spoilers about characters, prequel story line, etc.

I am just about to start the final level of Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Game.  To this point, Warpath was killed by Megatron, Stratosphere and Silverbolt were killed by Starscream, and it looks like Air Raid was killed by Starscream as well.  In level 6, Megatron found his truck alt mode and gave Optimus a pretty bad beating (Optimus did have his trailer and could fly with it).  I will update you on level 7 on this post.
Update:  Just finished the very long, difficult last level with Optimus vs. Shockwave (who does not talk at all) and the Driller.  It ends just like the prequel comic (Rising Storm).  Optimus is about the finish Shockwave off and The Driller saves him.  In the ending scene, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave meet together (looks like Africa maybe?) and Megatron reveals his plan, which I will not say since it will be part of the plot in TF3.  It was a great game that all Transformers fans should definitely get.

DOTM The Game

This post contains information about the prequel game to Transformers: Dark of the Moon.  If you are sensitive to spoilers about characters, alt modes or the prequel story line, do not read.

I am now on level 4 of 7 on DOTM The Game (PS3) and I have found some very interesting things.  First of all, in level 4, Soundwave is an SUV and not the silver Mercedes.  Optimus and the Autobots found out about Soundwave being attatched to the satellite and Megatron ordered Soundwave to come down to earth.  Mirage (who does turn invisible) is playable in level 3 and does have an Italian accent.  Wheeljack has only been mentioned to this point and not shown.  So far I think the game is a huge step up from the other two.  The gameplay is amazing and I would highly recommend getting it.  I will update this post if I see more interesting information.

DOTM Opening Scenes Revealed

Michael Bay and James Cameron recently sat down to discuss the future of the 3D Movie Industry and 15 minutes of the movie was shown, including the first 5 minutes.  Check out the description at TFW2005, but, of course, there will be spoilers.  It is an exact description.  I did glance at it and at the very beginning...(spoilers)

Dark of the Moon Review

Well, Capone of Ain't it Cool News is one lucky guy.  He was able to see a rough cut of the whole entire movie and his review of it is great!  Also, Skids and Mudflap are in the movie (Update: They are not), although very briefly.  Here are some keypoints of the movie, and don't worry, there are no spoilers.  Oh, and by the way, this is what Capone had to say about the film: "the third and easily best entry in the Michael Bay-directed franchise".

- The battle of Chicago runs for an hour, with not a second wasted.
- Megatron is very creepy still with part of his head missing from the final battle of Revenge of the Fallen.
- Leonard Nimoy voices Sentinel Prime to "perfection".
- Rosie Huntington-Whiteley spends a lot of time in the tightest clothes imaginable. She does have a role in the film and is reckoned to be better than Megan Fox, perhaps because she has an active role to play.
- Sam's parents are barely in the film.
- Civilians die in large numbers during the Chicago battle.

If you're sensitive to spoilers, I would advise reading the summarized version instead of the whole one.

Wheeljack is the Blue Mercedes

It has been confirmed by the junior novelization.  Wheeljack is the blue Mercedes.  Some photos were taken of the book and you can view them here.  I have not looked at them and there could be spoilers, so beware.

Blue Mercedes is Wheeljack?

[Possible Spoilers]
Transformers Live Action Movie Blog has noticed on an unofficial Transformers Facebook page a possible hint that the blue Mercedes is indeed Wheeljack.  The picture on the left shows a shadow of Wheeljack in the Rising Storm comic and on the right is a screenshot of possibly Wheeljack in the theatrical trailer.  A similarity between the two I've noticed is the left shoulder (from your view).  In the Rising Storm comics Wheeljack is badly injured and Ratchet says he can fix him but he won't be the same, so how he looks will not be the same from the comic to the movie.
UPDATE: My mistake- The comic picture is from the DOTM comic adaptation, not Rising Storm.

Character Confirmations

TFW2005 has uncovered from Hasbro's Transformers site that Soundwave is indeed the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG.  There have also been some more spoilers uncovered about Shockwave.  Although TFW2005 makes you believe they are massive spoilers, they really aren't.  You can uncover the same info about Shockwave from the Rising Storm comics.  There is also a new Autobot called Steeljaw, who is the Wreckers' pet.

Michael Bay Interview

More details about the plot of DOTM have risen thanks to an interview with Michael Bay yesterday.  Here is a part of the interview: SPOILERS!!

“There’s a scene where she’s kidnapped and they go to Chicago, which they find at morning it’s been obliterated and surrounded by alien ships, and they’re kind of…he’s taking a small little group in to try to get her back. Then there’s the group of guys trying to come in and join some of our heroes on the ground. They’re kind of doing a conversion…they’re trying to sneak in low. They try to put some air power over here to distract the ships. There’s a scene where they’ve got some new robot tech…there’s like a cute character in the movie, a transformer, an autobot, and he’s invented this device, alien in nature, he’s given it to Shia. He gives him two things, like a stick bomb and this kind of grapple glove thing. And then we go to…there’s a section in a building where they’ve gone in and broken… a lot of buildings have been broken and shot up.”

Another Article About the Plot

Entertainment Weekly also has an article about some new uncovered plot details for Transformers 3. The first part of the article:
The new Transformers: Dark of the Moon footage — screened for reporters yesterday at Paramount Studios — shows a giant, burrowing robot with city-block-length metallic tentacles wrapping itself around the middle of a skyscraper and crushing it like a beer can.
The bad news for Shia LaBeouf is he’s on one of the top floors of the now hourglass-shaped structure, which is beginning to tip. Optimus Prime and the other Autobots have given them cover fire, helping clear a path through the decimated city of Chicago, but Decepticons are prowling everywhere, far outnumbering them. The bad ‘bots deal with puny humans easily enough: they’re armed with weapons that neatly reduce the city’s fleeing population to piles of smoking bones.

DOTM Plot Details

WARNING: SPOILERS!

"There was certainly an emphasis on introducing Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to us through a number of clips that played up the relationship between Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and Carly (Huntington-Whiteley). When she ends up trapped in Chicago after it's been taken over by Decepticons, Sam has to go into the city to find her, setting off what looks like one of the wildest series of scenes that Bay's ever orchestrated, and he was given unprecedented access to the city's resources to help stage his invasion. The result is a sense of urban chaos that I've never seen staged on this scale.

And "scale" seems to be a big word for this film. We saw battle sequences set on the home planet of the Transformers. We saw a crazy accident on the moon, and we saw what happens when all the robots scattered there by that accident finally wake up. We saw a jaw-dropping sequence involving soldiers jumping out of a transport over the city and using cutting-edge flight suits to glide down to the ground, racing between buildings as they do. We saw a piece of a scene involving an attack on a skyscraper where the Decepticons appear to saw an entire building in half using a giant sandworm-looking robot that burrows deep into the building while the human heroes struggle to find a way to ride it out in the upper half of the building.

… looks like things get very personal for Sam in this one, and like he's learned some new tricks that help even the odds when he has to face the Decepticons. We saw a chunk of an alley fight between Starscream and Sam in which Sam reveals that he's been given some new weaponry, including a grapping gun glove of sorts that seems fairly effective."
