TF4 News Catch-Up

First off in this major news post is a new TV spot that was aired during the MTV Movie Awards. There is some improved CGI, one extra shot and a slight extension of the scene where Optimus gets shot by Lockdown.

Next, Imagine Dragons will be working with composer Steve Jablonsky on Transformers: Age of Extinction. No word yet on if this means Linkin Park will not be returning to provide music for the fourth film.

China and Chevrolet have been doing a lot of promoting of the Chevy Trax vehicons that will be appearing in Transformers 4. They have released some art as well as a giant statue of the red Trax.

Mark Wahlberg was spotted with Optimus Prime and the crew in Los Angeles, California a little bit ago. They were completing either some reshoots or Michael Bay needed a couple of extra shots for a certain scene.

Speaking of Michael Bay, he recently completed an interview with Entertainment Weekly regarding the film. Bay said that Lockdown is not necessarily a Decepticon, but a ruthless bounty hunter. He also went on to explain that there will be some things in Transformers 4 that will be referenced and not explained until future sequels.

Hasbro has released a ton of character art (13 in total) of the major Bots and Cons of Transformers 4. You can check out the rest of those on TFW2005 by clicking here.

Next we have some box art for the Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark video game. The art shows Optimus Prime holding his sword surrounded by movie Lockdown and Grimlock as well as Cybertron Megatron and Shockwave. The game will incorporate both worlds by using the power of the Dark Spark to cross dimensions. The Cybertron segments will take place before Fall of Cybertron and the movie segments will take place during and after Age of Extinction.

A new still from Transformers 4 has been released which features rusty Optimus Prime and Mark Wahlberg. A trailer has been rated and classified by the British Board of Film Classification. No word yet on an official release date.
