Frankie and Mojo Collars Auctioned Off

Time for some odd news in the Transformers world. The collars worn by the dogs who played Frankie and Mojo in Revenge of the Fallen have been auctioned off at iCollector. A Michael Bay autographed certificate of authenticity was also included. The starting bid was $50 and they are estimated at being sold for around $300-$500, but the actual price they were sold for is undisclosed. Below is the description of the items from the website and let's just say that they tried a little too hard to make it seem like these collars were a lot more than cracked up to be.

After the massive success of “Transformers” (2007), action director Michael Bay followed it up with “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (2009). It too was a smash hit. Again the ‘big ticket” of the film was the Autobots (in this film we are introduced to Arcee, Chromia, Elita One, Sideswipe, Jolt, and the twins Skids and Mudflap), which gave us a non-stop barrage of some of the most eye-popping special effects yet. However, one great irony of this film is that perhaps the most popular “stars” had nothing to do with CGI, or other elaborate and insanely expensive computer generated effects, but with two real live dogs! Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has a Chihuahua named Mojo, and a very horny French (of course, French) Bulldog named Frankie. Audiences loved these two! And so did Sam. He spoiled them to no end. That included their collars. For Mojo, a blue Rhinestone encrusted collar with faux-jeweled MOJO and a faux-silver fire hydrant, finished with a faux-jeweled dangling “dog bone” tag. Frankie, being of much larger stature had a massive Rhinestone encrusted color (looking like something out of Vegas Strip marquee sign), and dangling letters also Rhinestone encrusted spelling out FRANK. Here are those two hero screen used collars! It also comes with three additional "dog jewelry" used in the film: a Rhinestone encrusted "paw print", and two faux-diamond "dog bones" (one clear the other blue). With this set comes a Certificate of Authenticity from Bay Films and signed by Michael Bay himself! Mojo’s collar is approx. 12” long, and Frankie’s is approx. 19x2.
