Countdown Clock Announcement

Just as a small announcement, the Transformers: Age of Extinction countdown clock on the right sidebar has been adjusted to hit zero at 9pm on June 26th rather than midnight on June 27th.

Help Customize a Transformers Ford Falcon

Ford Australia and High Moon Studios are teaming up to customize a Ford Falcon, Transformers style!

“To celebrate the launch of the new video game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Ford and Activision are giving you the chance to create an Aussie Transformers Ford Falcon. Over the next four days we’ll run polls inviting you (our fans) to vote on a selection of characteristics, which will make up our Falcon Transformers car.

High Moon Studios, the developers of the coming Transformers: Fall of the Cybertron game, will turn the results into a piece of concept art showing the Aussie Falcon in both car and bot form.

The artwork will be unveiled to coincide with the new Playstation game’s release on August 22, and signed copies will be used for future Ford activities."

Injured TF3 Extra to Receive $18 Million

Gabriela Cedillo, the extra who was severely injured during filming of the highway chase for TF3, will receive an $18 million settlement from Paramount and Dreamworks Pictures. Cedillo was injured on September 1st, 2010 in Hammond, Indiana when a cable snapped and busted through her car's windshield and hit her head. Cedillo's family filed a lawsuit against Paramount Pictures on October 5th of that year. So far, the medical bills for Cedillo have surpassed $350,000 and she has been forced to go on public aid.
The $18 million dollar settlement was announced today by Cedillo's attorneys in Chicago. Her lawyer, Todd Smith said "She is on her feet and talking and for that we are thankful. On the other side, she has significant cognizant impairment and with a period of hallucinations…She is going to have issues for the rest of her life... A large part of her brain was lost. She has difficulty with memory. She can't remember when she went to the bathroom five minutes earlier."

Studio representatives could not be reached for comment.

One Year Strong

Today marks the first anniversary of Transformers News, which started out as Transformers DOTM News on April 15th, 2011. Ever since this blog was founded, I have enjoyed giving you guys all of the news regarding the movies, TV shows, video games and more. I hope everyone that has come here has enjoyed reading the news that I post and I can't wait until Transformers 4 news starts heating up so that I can bring you more excitement leading up to the next installment of the live action franchise.

Bay Files Restraining Order Against Gibson?

Apparently, a gossip site owned by Jacky Jasper has started a rumor that Michael Bay has filed a restraining order against Transformers star Tyrese Gibson. Nelson, the admin of Bay's S4TE forum, contacted Bay on set of Pain and Gain and confirmed that this rumor is indeed false. Tyrese Gibson is trying to do damage control and it looks like Jasper is just trying to stir something up. So, there is NOT a restraining order against Tyrese Gibson.

Tyrese is a great friend to Michael Bay, and to this web site. Tyrese is one of Michael's best friends. They've gone to Floyd Mayweather fights and last Christmas Tyrese spent Christmas with Bay as a true friend. Small Site Overhaul

During the last couple of days, I've made a lot of small changes to the appearance of this site, so I'm going to give you guys an overview of what's new. As you can notice, I've changed the title photo at the top of the page, which is probably the biggest appearance change I made. One of the small additions is the bar at the bottom of the page. On this bar you can see how many people are online, you can share content from this blog, share this blog on Twitter, visit this blog's Facebook page, watch YouTube videos and see my latest Tweets. When you click these buttons, you won't even leave this site, but a window will pop up instead. You can always hide this bar by clicking the button on the far right of it. Another small addition is sharing photos. If you hover over an image, you can select an option to share it on social networking sites. If all you would like to do is see the image larger in another window, just click above the "share" option and you will see a larger version of the photo. Now for the new sidebar features: On the bottom of the right sidebar, you will see a box that gives you live Twitter updates from the Transformers News Twitter page. Underneath that you will see a video that says "TF3 Trailer Playlist". Now instead of having a bunch of trailers here, they're compacted into one video. You can click the "next" button to scroll through the trailers. Having these trailers in one spot makes the website load up faster on your computer. On the left sidebar, you will see a new poll. Polls are back on 'Transformers News' after a short absence. Underneath that you will see "Popular Posts". This shows you the most viewed posts from the past 30 days. Possibly sometime today or this week I will be making the "Character List" (located below the title photo) a lot better with photos and character bios. Thank you for following my Transformers blog and I hope you enjoy the new site updates. Your feedback on the changes is welcome.

Elita-One Motorcycle on Ebay

One of the Elita-One motorcycles used on the Revenge of the Fallen set has been listed on Ebay. It would be an awesome addition for any Transformers fan collection. It is a purple, MV Agusta F4 1000R motorcycle with Cybertronian markings on it. An Autobot logo is featured on the seat. There is a "Buy it Now" option where you can get it for US $17,500 or you can make an offer.

TFN Contest

April 15th is the one year anniversary of Transformers News, so I have decided to have a contest regarding that day.

Instructions:
For this contest, you will create a one year anniversary logo or banner for Transformers News. If you decide to create a logo, it will appear on either side of the Transformers News banner on the top of the website. If you decide to create a banner, it will replace the Transformers News banner which is currently at the top of the website. Make sure to be creative with your logo or banner. Somewhere on the logo/banner, there should be something that represents the one year anniversary. Only one winner will be chosen. You can submit your logo/banner in two different ways. You can either post it on the Transformers News Facebook Page or you can post it under Visitor Messages on my TFW2005 account (MV95). The winner will be announced on March 10th, 2012.

Extra notes: You may use the logo in this post as part of your logo/banner. Also, if you chose to make a banner, the height needs to be 270 pixels or less. The winner's submission might me slightly altered. If you have any questions regarding the contest, let me know.

Camaro Super Bowl Ad

Remember almost a year ago when we saw the DOTM Super Bowl ad and the Bumblebee Camaro Super Bowl ad? Time sure flies, doesn't it? Here is one of the Chevy ads from this year's Super Bowl on February 5th. It doesn't feature Bumblebee (just a yellow Camaro), but it is very, very funny. Enjoy!
