Dark of the Moon: 1 Year Later
One year ago today, Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released in select theaters at 9pm while others got to see it three hours later. So in honor of that day, I want you guys to comment below and tell your DOTM story. What happened when you saw the movie for the first time and how excited were you? I remember that I went to an 8:40pm 3D showing on June 28th with a couple friends. The anticipation was killing me and while driving to the theater, I could not believe that I was about to see the movie. One and my friends and I got there about 20 minutes before the movie started. (We had all gotten our tickets earlier that day) My other friend that was attending though was running late and just barely got there on time. The theater was a little more than half full, but I expected that because not too many people knew about this early showing. It wasn't packed, but it was one of the best audiences I've seen a movie with. Every funny part was laughed at and everyone applauded at the end. I even remember that at the beginning of the movie when Carly was walking up the staircase, a guy in front of me leaned over to his kid and said, "Now that's the kind of Transformer I like to see," which got a good laugh out of the people around us. After watching the amazing movie, my friends and I went out to the lobby to find a very, very long line for the midnight showing of DOTM. One of my friends walked up to a guy standing in line and asked, "What movie are you guys seeing?" The guy almost instantaneously shouted, "Mr. Popper's Penguins!" My friend then had a funny expression realizing that was a stupid question. I really had trouble sleeping that night because I just couldn't stop thinking about how awesome that movie was.
So what's your story? Comment below about how your DOTM experience was and if there are enough stories, I'm going to compile them into an upcoming post!

Fall of Cybertron Poll Results
The results are in from the latest Transformers News poll! The question was: "What part of Fall of Cybertron are you looking forward to the most?" The winner with 54% of the votes was campaign. Multiplayer was second with 34% of the votes, followed by escalation with 11%. A new poll for Transformers 4 will be up shortly and be sure to 'like' the new Transformers News Facebook Page. I figured I should make a new one without "DOTM" in the name. The other Facebook page will still be active for a few months.

Transformers The Ride on Today Show
The Today Show just had a special Transformers segment for Transformers The Ride, which included Michael Bay riding it. It's a fun segment to watch and it's nice to see Transformers in the national spotlight even when there are no movies happening at the moment.

EB Games FOC Preorder Bonus
I have some bad news for those of you that preordered Fall of Cybertron with Gamestop (myself included). EB Games has a better preorder bonus. You get everything in Gamestop's G1 pack plus Swoop as a character unlock. On top of that, XBOX 360 users will get a Bumblebee avatar and if you preorder in-store, you will also receive a giant Grimlock poster. As of now, this is just in Australia, but I'm sure this will be announced for the US and other countries soon.

TF4: Pre-Production Begins Next Week, May Go Into Space
Michael Bay has just all of a sudden flooded us with Transformers 4 news. The Transformers director was interviewed by The LA Times Hero Complex while visiting Universal's Transformers The Ride and he had a lot to say. First of all, Bay will start working on Transformers 4 next week. He just finished working on another one of his projects, "Pain and Gain", earlier this month and is ready to begin work on the fourth installment of Transformers. Bay also mentioned that there will be a complete new human cast, which kills the rumor of at least Tyrese Gibson returning. He wants to take this movie in a new direction, including character redesigns, but he emphasized that Transformers 4 will not be a reboot. It will continue the story of the previous three movies. The main idea of the plot will be discussed next week between Bay and the writer, Ehren Kruger. Bay goes on to hint that the movie will leave Earth, but just a little because he doesn't want it to get "too sci-fi."
The budget for this film will be lower, Bay and Co. are aiming for it to be about $30 million less than Dark of the Moon, which had a budget of $195 million. Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen had budgets of $150 million and $200 million respectively.
Bay was finally asked if he thinks he can really walk away from Transformers and leave it for the next guy right after he reshapes it with TF4. He said, “Here’s the thing, it’s tough to find someone who’s done these kind of movies and to have the complication of creating the new stuff that needs to be in this movie – not just characters but a new type of action, I hope – and that’s a lot for someone new to bite off. And so after this one I will leave it in the best hands possible. That’s the plan.”
Transformers 4 hits theaters on June 27, 2014.

TF4 Teaser Poster?
A Transformers 4 teaser poster has been floating around on a couple of websites. While it may possibly be fake, these websites are claiming it's the real deal. It's not odd for a poster such as this to be released well before a movie's release. A Transformers 3 teaser poster was released well before DOTM's release too. What do you think? Is it real? Is it fake? Comment below!

Dark of the Moon Robo Fighters Wave 3 Released
Here with some somewhat odd news. A TFW2005 boards member has spotted the two unreleased wave three DOTM Robo Fighters toys at a Toys 'R Us in Indiana. The toys are Nightwatch Optimus Prime and Elite Guard Bumblebee. With the release of these DOTM toys and the Asia release of the deluxe Wheeljack, maybe the rest of the unreleased DOTM toys will reach the shelves in the future.

Steve Jablonsky Returning for TF4
Steve Jablonsky, who composed the score for the first three Transformers movies, will be returning to compose the score for Transformers 4. Jablonsky has recently created the music for Transformers The Ride and Battleship. Arguably his most popular piece of work is "Arrival to Earth" from Transformers and I'm sure he will continue to compose beautiful scores for the Transformers franchise. Battle Arena E3 Showdown: Vote Grimlock!
MTV is having a competition where they put video game characters head to head against each other in order to see who is the best of the best. In round 1, Fall of Cybertron's Grimlock is up against Mario. Last time I checked, a giant, fire breathing space T-Rex beats a puny little Italian plumber who fights off mushrooms any day. Right now the voting is tight. Grimlock was ahead by roughly 16% last time I checked and Mario was leading earlier. You may vote multiple times, so show your support for Grimlock! Click here to vote!

FOC: Optimus Called Orion Pax by Mistake
More gameplay from the Optimus Prime level! This time, Optimus and Warpath push through Decepticons to reach Teletraan 1 to upgrade their weapons. Teletraan says, "Greetings, Orion Pax" then corrects itself by saying Optimus Prime. I'm not sure if any continuities besides Transformers Prime uses that name, but this shows that High Moon Studios is really trying to connect the game with the show.

FOC PS3 Demo Coming Before Release
Matt Tieger has stated on the Playstation Blog that PS3 users will probably get some type of beta or demo before the August 28th release of Fall of Cybertron. This will probably be for online multiplayer rather than campaign because I'm guessing they want to save the campaign stuff for the actual release. So, it looks like some of us might get to make our own custom Transformers before August 28th. No actual date is set yet and it is unknown whether XBOX users will get the same treatment.
"We are talking multiplayer features for all you PSN players, and you might even see something playable on PSN before the game launch….but more on that at a later time."

Fall of Cybertron Starscream Gameplay
Starscream's level looks really fun. He goes into Shockwave's base and starts to kill other Decepticons. He is able to turn invisible unlike in War for Cybertron and if you sneak up behind someone, he taps them on the shoulder and plants a bomb on their face when they turn around.

TF4: New Designs, New Cast, Last of the Bay Films
The LA Times has posted an article about Transformers The Ride and squeezed a bit of Transformers 4 news in it as well. The Times states that Michael Bay has said that this will be his final Transformers film (he said that last time, didn't he?), there will be some robot redesigns and it will feature an entirely new cast. I hope the robot designs don't change too dramatically and I do hope some of the cast will return. If too much change happens, you might as well call it a reboot and if it's a reboot, I don't think Bay should be directing. I've been sitting at my desk after I reading article wondering what possible direction this movie can take and I have absolutely no idea. Robot redesigns? Whole new cast? Sounds like a reboot to me. I'm starting to wonder if Transformers 4 should even happen. What's your opinion on the matter? Comment below and tell me what you think.

FOC Metroplex and Escalation
Someone was able to get their hands on an early copy of the next Gameinformer magazine which reveals what Metroplex looks like and it talks about Escalation, which will indeed return for the War for Cybertron sequel. This bit of news comes just before E3, where High Moon Studios was expected to release this information.
Metroplex appears in the Optimus Prime level and while you are unable to control him directly, you can mark targets for him to destroy while playing as Optimus. It looks like Escalation has changed slightly, but that's really all we know at this point. By the time this edition of Gameinformer hits the shelves, the Gameinformer website will give us a first look at some of the Escalation website.
Stick around for more Fall of Cybertron news during E3 this week.
